FAQ 314: How do I restore a database from a backup?

Postby Mat Larkin » April 22nd, 2010, 3:25 pm

:!: NOTE: It is important to make sure that no other users are logged on when you attempt to restore a database.

To restore a database from a backup, click the TOOLS menu at the top of the main ClinicOffice screen and then click RESTORE DATABASE.

A window will then appear which allows you to locate your database backup file. After selecting the backup file, ClinicOffice will give you the choice of (a) creating a new database or (b) overwriting the current database.

:!: NOTE: We tend to recommend creating a new database unless you are 100% certain that you want to delete the current database and replace it with the restored backup.
