email a diary summary

Postby leemo888 » November 25th, 2009, 12:06 pm

Is it possible to email a summary of the weeks/months appointments to practitioners? Is there any progress re: a web interface?.....there was previous post which suggested it was going to happen:

"This is something we will be working on for ClinicOffice 2007. Although it won't be in the initial release - it will come later in the year.

We are aiming on it being possible to have not only the practitioners able to log into the system on a web browser but also the patients so that they can book their own appointments"

This facility would be superb...even just a read-only web interface for practitioners to check their appointments would be excellent.

Hi

It is currently possible to email the practitioners a pdf of the weeks appointments via the print preview screen and your default email program. To reach this screen go to your diary | Click on 'Switch to grid view' | Click on search and choose you time period/practitioners | once loaded right click in the grid and select Print Preview | you will then see on the right side of the ribbon bar an option to email as pdf.

We are still working on the Web module, although at this time i would be unable to give you a time frame as to when this would be available.

I hope this helps.

Hi Dan

Thanks for the prompt reply and for pointing out the ability to email the info.. BRILLIANT! The whole package is working just superbly for us. I look forward to the web feature!

I had another thought - what about an option to send out an email at the start of each week, to each practitioner listing their appointments (based on the normal criteria available in the grid view)...an extension of what can be done at the moment- a scheduled option to automatically do this would be superb and save loads of time.

Thanks

That sort of bespoke feature could be handled by the recently released Scripting module. Scripting allows you to automate certain features in ClinicOffice but it does require a level of programming knowledge - specifically how to write code in C# or VB.NET.

Until we get some good scripting tutorials together (which we're working on) the best way to make use of this is to purchase the Scripting module join the ClinicOffice Support Plan (if you haven't done so already).

One of our developers will then be able to connect in to your computer remotely to work on the script for you to do this.

Hope this helps!
