Hi, we have recently purchased the clinic office software and would like to import the client data from our legacy system to the new system. i have managed to export the data from the old system in a CSV format. can you provide me with details on how i can import this into the Clinic Office system please?

Hi Naeem,

Thanks for your post.

If you look at this existing post, there are some example import sheets for you to look at
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=288&p=658&hilit=import+data#p658

We also offer importing services however there would be a charge involved.

I hope the import goes well! :)

Hi Mat,

Thanks for that, i'm pretty confident i could do this myself. quick question, Do the column names and order of columns need to match? also if some columns are not used do they remain blank or can they be removed?

thanks

Hi Naeem,

The column headers need to match the sample csv format or the import will not work. It doesn't matter what order they are in however.

If columns are blank then CO will just ignore them. There are some columns that need to be filled in such as

lastname (if importing patients, contacts, staff members)
invoice number (if importing invoices)
invoice date (if importing invoices)

Thanks
